MCO 2.0 Extended to February 04

On January 21, Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that second Movement Control Order (MCO) for six states federal territories affected has been extended to Feb 4 due to the rising cases of Covid-19.

The states and federal territories affected are Selangor, Melaka, Penang, Johor, Sabah, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.

The extension meant the Movement Control Order (MCO) will expire in all states on the same date except Sarawak.

“Based on the risk analysis and advice from the health ministry, the National Security Council today has agreed to extend the MCO in Penang, Selangor, Melaka, the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah.”
