Interstate Travel only allowed work, medical, educational purposes from Monday to Thursday

April 19, deputy inspector-general of police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said permission will only be given to those traveling for work, medical or educational purposes, or emergencies and deaths involving close family members, and for long-distance couples.
He also added that Those who have obtained permission may only travel from Monday to Thursday, except for emergencies, deaths, and long-distance couples. Interstate travel forms will not be approved if the date of travel falls on Friday, Saturday and Sunday except for emergency purposes, death or long-distance married couples.
“Travelling interstate for social purposes such as wedding dinners or any kind of event is prohibited,” he said in a statement.
Interstate travel is still not allowed for social reasons such as attending weddings or any sort of social function. This will continue until after Hari Raya Aidilfitri. PDRM has warned that those who do not abide by these rules will have strict actions taken upon them.
Acryl Sani also said personnel will be mobilized to monitor the crowds at Ramadan bazaars and night markets throughout the country to ensure Covid-19 rules are observed.
“If it is found that SOPs are not complied with, PDRM will advise the local councils to halt business activities in the area.”
