Fuel prices : RON97 up five cents, RON95, diesel unchanged

March 10, Finance Ministry announced that the retail prices of RON97 petrol will be increased by five cents from March 11 to 17, 2021.

It said that the retail price for RON97 petrol will increase from RM2.35 to RM2.40 per liter. Meanwhile, RON 95 and diesel will remain unchanged at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per liter.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, the new prices were based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula

"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," the ministry said in a statement.
