UMS hostels Sabah under EMCO from April 5-18 following Covid-19 Outbreak

Enhanced MCO will be imposed in three residential colleges at University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah starting tomorrow (5 April until 18 April 2021), said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
According to the statement, Minister of Defense Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the decision is made after the briefing of the Ministry of Health and consultation with various agencies. The respective colleges are KK Tun Mustapha, KK Tun Fuad, and KK Tun Pengiran Ahmad Raffae.
"The hostels are KK Tun Mustapha, KK Tun Fuad and KK Tun Pengiran Ahmad Raffae.
"The Health Ministry conducted 133 screenings and 19 Covid-19 cases were recorded.
He added that 19 out of 133 people that have been screened, tested positive for the virus.
"The virus is spreading at the three hostels and infected rates are high," he said in a statement on Sunday (April 4).- the star
The lockdown is to monitor the movement of the inhabitants so that the virus will not spread from the residential colleges to the community.
Meanwhile, following an increase of Covid-19 cases in Kampung Pagalungan Ansip in Keningau and Kampung Kalindukan in Nabawan, enhanced MCO will be implemented in these two villages starting 5 April midnight until 18 April 2021.
The MCO in the Keningau district will also be extended until 18 April 2021.
