"Time to Say Good Bye" Chili’s Malaysia Closes 1st Flagship Store In Bangsar After 27 Years

10 March, Chili’s Malaysia announced on its social media platforms that after a memorable 27 years, their first flagship outlet store located at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) Kuala Lumpur will be closing its doors for good this month.
Its post reads as follows: “It’s been an awesome 27 years for Chili’s at Bangsar Shopping Centre. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our guests at Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre for your support over the years.
“We’re sadly saying goodbye to our very first flagship store. Drop by for one last time before March 31 to say goodbye as we will be permanently closing Chili’s Bangsar Shopping Centre outlet soon.”
No reason has been given for its closure.
On the Facebook post, many netizens expressed their sadness at the closure of their childhood restaurant.
Sophia Khan commented: "Ohh wow...gosh this was our “bangsar kids” hangout as teens in the 90s...lots of memories...great fun!"
Sarvindheran Chelvarajah commented: "My dad used to bring us here when we were kids, when he was able to give us a fancy meal those days. There were so much memories in this place for me and my fam. Sad to see this restaurant go away."
Jessie Kaur commented: "Why close this down honestly out of all outlets your cooks does the best meals.. I have been going there since you guys open. Nice all time favourite family restaurant."
