Malaysia: Covid-19 Vaccines Phase 2 Will Start Getting Their Appointments on 5 April

April 5, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin announced that Phase 2 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme will begin on April 19 in eight states.
Malaysians in the second phase in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme will start getting their appointments on 5 April in MySejahtera.
Individuals in the second phase consist of:
Senior citizens
Members of the OKU community
Individuals with comorbidities (pre-existing conditions)
“Notifications will be sent out at least 14 days before the appointment date for receiving the vaccine, with reminders to be sent three days and one day in advance via short messaging service and call center,” he told a joint press conference with Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba on the immunisation programme on 5 April.

According to the latest numbers shared by JKJAVMY, the country has already successfully vaccinated about 787,000 people in phase one. However, based on the information received today, currently, only 7.8 million Malaysians have registered which is about 31% of the total population.
